  16. <p>The N.R.A. moves to exploit the L.A. riots for its own agenda
  17. </p>
  18. <p>    In even the worst of disasters there are bound to be some
  19. opportunities. One group that sees itself as a potential
  20. benefactor from the Los Angeles riots is the National Rifle
  21. Association. Already, articles pointing out the benefits of
  22. keeping a home arsenal as a defense against armed looters are
  23. slated for the June issues of the N.R.A.'S American Rifleman and
  24. American Hunter magazines as well as for the upcoming edition
  25. of its political action newsletter, NRAction. Although there are
  26. no television ads in the works yet, the progun organization is
  27. reviewing videotapes of the riots with an eye to see how they
  28. might best be used. Says an N.R.A. spokesman in Washington:
  29. "There is no better example of why we need the Second Amendment
  30. than a Korean shop owner protecting himself and his store with
  31. his gun."
